Psychologists

Beth Westbrook, PsyD

For nearly 30 years, Beth has worked with and counseled health professionals, understanding that they carry a high degree of stress in both their professional and personal lives.  She values their privacy and strives to maintain confidentiality in a respectful environment.

Her experience includes clinical treatment, dance therapy, and private practice.  She has maintained professional relationships through organizational work, board positions, supervision of students and consultations.  Beth currently works in private practice, serves as a governor appointee to The Health Evidence Review Commission (State of Oregon), consults for the Physician Wellness Program (Medical Society of Metropolitan Portland) and The Health Professionals Service Program (Oregon).

Beth's practice is located in Northwest Portland.

Dan Rubin, PsyD

Dan is a clinical psychologist with a specialization in physician wellness and mindfulness-base interventions. 

He was a founding member and teacher for Mindful Medicine, a Portland-based non-profit that offers evidenced-based mindfulness and compassion training to physicians and other health care professionals. Dan ran a physician support and consolation group for 6 years, and has given workshops on physician wellness for groups including Kaiser Permanente, Oregon Health & Science University, Providence St. Vincent, Group Health and The Foundation for Medical Excellence. 

Dan comes from a family of physicians and foodies, enjoys reading science fiction, painting, writing and hanging out with his wife and twin children.

Healthcare Coaches

Lisa Goren,
Healthcare Leadership and Executive Coach

Lisa Goren is an experienced leader, coach, advisor and educator working primarily with executives, board members, front-line leaders and physicians. As a coach, Lisa helps leaders undergo personal transformation and develop the skills to lead others through organizational change. She has extensive experience coaching individuals with varying leadership acumen, strengths and challenges.

Lisa’s coaching education allows her to tailor her approach and use a variety of tools to help clients maximize their potential and most effectively achieve their goals. She has consistently been acknowledged for her ability to balance an individual’s priorities with those of the organization, in addition to coaching clients to achieve tangible results and make meaningful change.

Lisa has coached a diverse population of leaders representing organizations of various sizes. She has worked with senior leaders from a variety of institutions including Legacy Health, Providence Health & Services, Northwest Permanente, University of Washington Health System, Columbia University—NY Presbyterian Health System and boards of several organizations.

Barry Egener, MD
Healthcare Leadership and Executive Coach

Barry Egener, MD, is Medical Director of The Foundation for Medical Excellence in Portland, Oregon and is a practicing internist at Legacy Clinic Northwest. He is a past president of the Academy for Communication in Healthcare and was a Director of the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

Dr. Egener teaches communication skills to medical professionals and is a leadership coach. His other interest are clinical well-being and professionalism at the organizational level.
