Target Audience:  Office Managers and Administrators

Some in the healthcare community have viewed social media and electronic communication as disruptive and have been reluctant to adopt the technology. But electronic communication is not a trend or a fad—it is a revolution that is changing the world. This seminar will address the evolving risks and benefits associated with social media and electronic communication and will provide risk tips to mitigate potential liability.

At the conclusion of this program, you will be able to:

1.  Describe three benefits and potential risk exposures associated with social media/Web 2.0

2.  Identify risk of advertising through social media

3.  Apply risk management strategies for reducing liability associated with electronic media

4.  Identify risks and benefits of emerging mobile health tools
